Phone/ gadget cases/socks

Phone cases or socks are probable the easiest thing to make, just 3 seams,  they particularly lend themselves to embellishment or plain to show off the fabric.

The basic design is easily scaled up or down to fit most basic rectangles.
Step 1    The cover - Measure the phone double the width and add a seam allowance.
Step 2    The lining - repeat step one
Step 3    Cut the wadding slightly shorter than the lining
Step 4    Attach the wadding to the lining (use bondaweb or iron on hemming tape) the purpose of this is to stop the wadding from moving as you make it up
Step 5    Attach the lining to the cover along the top
Step 6    Press and trim the fabric along the join
Step 7    Sew along the short edge and along the long edge
step 8     Tuck the lining inside the cover
Step 9    Add phone and use

This basic design can be embellished with applique or ribbon as desired.

 Happy sewing
